Maybe you've heard of egg roll in a bowl, a staple in the lchf (low carb high fat, aka keto) community. Likely, you've also heard it called by another name: crack slaw. Why do people call it crack slaw, you ask? Because it's suuuuper addictive. It's cheap to make, comes together in about 10 minutes, and it's filled with flavors everybody loves, not to mention good-for-you veggies. However, the recipes I was running to online weren't doing it for me…so I came up with my own. Glow Getters, allow me to introduce you to a REAL crack slaw. Once you've had this egg roll in a bowl, you won't look at the other versions the same.
Introducing keto colcannon, a spin on a traditional Irish dish that is sure to please. Recipes for colcannon vary, but one thing is clear—colcannon must have two three things: mashed potatoes and cabbage (or kale), mixed together and topped with a pat or two of butter. This recipe adds one more variation to the mix by subbing cauliflower for the potatoes. You won't wanna miss this!
There are two key components of maintaining a keto diet, in my opinion: figuring out a way to enjoy your favorite flavors that your palate still craves and getting in all the fats you need to truly make a diet ketogenic. A keto diet is, after all, a high fat diet.
