Low Carb Mississippi Pot Roast

I stumbled across a recipe for Mississipi Pot Roast on Facebook, and while the results looked AMAZING, I was a bit dubious when I saw the ingredients. For some reason, I couldn't wrap my head around the concept of pepperoncini and roast beef, and I was downright skeptical of the ranch and gravy seasoning packets, as I try to stay away from processed foods (the stick of butter, of course, was a plus for me—being on a high fat diet, and all). I did some digging and found a few other versions of the meal, and all though they came close to working for my style of eating, none were quite perfect. So, of course, I adapted it to be low carb keto-friendly. Beef excellence ensued.

The Basics of Bulletproof Coffee

I wrote about bulletproof before, a couple years ago, but I figured it's time for an update. A lot of people are confused by what they see online because bulletproof tends to be heavily branded or specialized—there is, of course, the actual Bulletproof brand that was founded by Dave Asprey, who really kicked this whole bulletproof trend off, and there are other people who tell you their version of "butter coffee," which generally starts with some organic coffee that costs an arm and a leg or is ridiculously difficult to prepare.

We don't do that over here. Your bulletproof drink can be as simple or as complicated as you want to make it. I have a few bulletproof recipes on the site already, each very different, that gives you a glimpse of the ways bulletproof drinks can take on a new life. I encourage you to try some! Or, even, experiment with your own favorite bulletproof blend.

Today, I'll give you the bulletproof basics—the ingredients you need to make a bulletproof drink, and optional add-ins to help it fit what you need. Because aren't options the fun part of life? Let's get into it.

Low Carb/High Fat Snacks to Help Kill Your Cravings

One of the best things about following a high fat, low carb diet is that most people rarely feel the need for snacks—the inherent nature of the foods you eat on a ketogenic diet (fat and protein) are satiating, keeping you full for hours at a time. However, for others, snacking is a way of life, and as humans, we occasionally (ha) get cravings. I’ve been there…bored at your desk at work, watching a movie and wanting something to munch on, just in between meals, riding the crimson wave...sometimes you just need a little somethin somethin. So, what can you eat?

Keto Breakfast Roundup

So you like to eat breakfast? You don't say! I must admit...I have never been one for breakfast. I think that probably stems from the fact that I'm not a morning person. It has to, because I looooove brunch, which occurs at a much more decent hour.

But apparently, breakfast is a thing. For those of you following a low carb diet (we all are, right?), here are a couple breakfast options to help your morning go by a little more quickly. Enjoy!
